Fraser Campbell, co-creator of the Global Bartender Exchange and Dewar’s Global Ambassador, has launched an initiative designed to help people find local bars to work in during the day.
In Fraser’s own words:
There are hundreds of thousands of Londoners who have been working from home since April, without any offices to meet their work friends in and socialise. There are thousands of bars in London that have amazing spaces to work in during daytime hours with WIFI, serving coffee, and food, with many extending to opening earlier opening times to compensate for the new 10pm curfew, which could be in place for at least the next six months, and denies bars their most important hours of trading.
Work From Bars is an initiative to get people out of their homes, and finding spaces to work in during the day around London, and support the bars who will be fighting through the next 6 months, after the loss of post 10pm trading.
Most people don’t know which bars they can work from during the daytime, so the objective is to create an interactive map to make it easy to find the bars near you where you can get a change of scenery, and have lunch and a coffee, and maybe a cheeky knock off cocktail as you work away with your work pals or by yourself – tiny.cc/workfrombars
