The editor of bar industry magazine Drinks Un-Limited (DUL) has scored top spot in the title’s own annual Top 100 Most Popular list.
Editor Dalgliesh Minter, speaking shortly after publication of the list, told CON: “Obviously it’s a huge honour to be named the most popular person in the bar industry. It’s overwhelming, actually, and despite being the person who compiled the list, the announcement came as a complete shock because I have no awareness. You know, it brought me great joy to see the other hard working and slightly less popular people on the list get some recognition, but I think, looking back, my favourite part of the whole process was when the sponsor’s cheque cleared.”
Approached for comment about the news, fellow trade journal editor Mandy Isles rambled incoherently down the phone for several minutes, before hanging up.
