Enter the Mamont Vodka Competition for your chance to go on an expedition in Siberia in search of the Great Mammoth.
Last year Mamont Vodka offered one the most original and spectacular prizes BarLifeUK have ever seen (so much so Andy considered leaving so he was free to enter) with the chance to sail around Greenland for a week on-board a three mast wooden sailing boat. The winners found themselves climbing icebergs, flying over Greenland on a helicopter and private jet, watching the Aurora Borealis and flying the inflatable ‘Polaris’ boat.
We wondered how they were going to top this and now we have our answer. An expedition to discover the Great Mammoth around the spectacular Siberian landscape really is a trip that everyone must want to be part of.
As with last years competition Mamont Vodka are tasking bartenders to join forces with a chef to create the perfect serve for Mamont, with cocktail and dish being judged together. The winners of the UK heat will be jetting off to the Grande Finale in Moscow to compete with the other local winners.
BarLifeUK were fortunate enough to judge the UK heats last year and were treated to some superb food and drinks (you can read all about them here). No doubt the combinations this year will be even better and the UK winners will have a fantastic chance of taking out the top spot over in Russia.
The competition is now open for entries so it is time to find yourself a chef-y partner and get those creative juices flowing (more details on the rules can be found below the video). Entries will close on the 10th March with the UK finalists meeting at the Shrub & Shutter in Brixton to duke it out on March 23rd.

Participants must present themselves in a team consisting of two people: a bartender and a cook, both currently employed by a licensed bar or restaurant.
Both the cocktail and the dish must be prepared with good quality ingredients and served in a style that captures the Mamont Vodka brand:
- The team’s bartender shall submit a cocktail, which includes Mamont Vodka as the main ingredient. The recipe must be described in detail (i.e., ingredients, quantities in ml or gram) together with a step-by step method (i.e., glassware, preparation order and time) and images provided in the ‘Attachments’ field.
- The team’s cook or chef shall submit a small dish, which includes Mamont Vodka as the main ingredient. The recipe must be described in detail (i.e., ingredients, quantities in ml or gram, served warm/cold or before/after the cocktail) together with a step-by step method (i.e., number of serves, preparation order and time) and images provided in the ‘Attachments’ field. The dish must be accompanied by the submitted cocktail.
