The Wild Turkey Cocktail Competition is back for 2015, and it will take three bartenders on an epic trip to Kentucky, via Manhattan.
We love cocktail competitions that combine uncomplicated rules with a great prize, and the Wild Turkey comp delivers on both fronts.
The entry specs are simple – create a drink using at least 35ml of either Wild Turkey 81 or 101 bourbon, with a maximum of 6 ingredients, one of which can be home-made.
That’s it… just pick your preferred liquid and design a drink around it that best highlights and compliments its flavour profile.
A series of regional heats in June and July will pick six finalists, along with three wild cards, who will go through to the National final in August. The top three bartenders at the National final will win a place on the prize trip, which will see them fly to Manhattan for a night on the New York tiles, and then onwards to Kentucky to visit the Wild Turkey Distillery.
The overall winner will also receive a bottle of Wild Turkey Master’s Keep, their newest, 17YO bottling.
New York and Kentucky are at the top of every bartenders’ ‘must visit’ destinations list, and your chances of winning a spot with this comp are great, so get your spec designed and sent in before the entry deadline of May 25th.
