Fed up of one member of your bar always getting to go on the trips? Well Jim Beam have a competition where the bar team can all go and enjoy Kentucky together.
With the help of their new global ambassador Mila Kunis (mentioned mainly so we have an excuse to put her picture in the article), Jim Beam have been running a campaign entitled Make History. The latest chapter invites people to ‘Come As Friends, and Leave As Family’, and the Shake History competition is embracing this with a chance for your bar team to do just that in Kentucky.
The competition is inviting bar teams of 3 or 4 to enter an original, inspirational Jim Beam cocktail that they feel is worthy of making history and represents the personality and style of their bar.
The best cocktails and teams will be invited to the UK final where a series of unique and sensory challenges await. BarLifeUK have been working with Amanda Humphrey and the rest of the Mixxit team in the initial chats about what these challenges are going to be so expect something a bit different to your usual competition (and make sure your team is strong throughout!).
The eventual winners will all be jetting off to Kentucky where they will not only visit the Jim Beam Distillery and American Stillhouse but will also have the chance to meet Jim Beam’s seventh generation Master Distiller Fred Noe. For those of you that didn’t get to meet Fred on his recent trip to the UK let me tell you that meeting him will be worth the trip alone.
Like being tall enough to ride the rollercoaster this comp also comes with a few simple rules:
- The team must all work in the same bar
- The team must consist of 3 or 4 people
- You must stock Jim Beam in your bar
- Your cocktail must have Jim Beam as the main ingredient
- Only the 3 or 4 members of the team will go to Kentucky (if you have more members of that in your bar team then prepare for them to hate you)
