Win a Toddla T Production Masterclass with BACARDÍ Beginnings

BACARDÍ Beginnings have launched ‘Beats Per Minute’ and are offering buddy DJ’s and producers the opportunity to remix the new Toddla T track and win a production masterclass with the renowned DJ and producer.

There are a lot of frustrated DJ’s in the bartending community with the likes of Paul Mant and Nick Van Tiel becoming as well-known as DJ’s as bartenders and not forgetting Jake Burger – DJ to the stars.

Bacardi have spotted this and launched a new initiative called ‘Beats Per Minute’, under their BACARDÍ Beginnings umbrella, with a great prize up for grabs. They have teamed up with DJ and Producer Toddla T and UK vocalist Roses Gabor, who between them have worked with the likes of Roots Manuva, Shola Ama, Hot Chip, SBTRKT and Gorillaz, to offer the opportunity of a production masterclass with the man himself alongside remix equipment and tickets to the next BACARDÍ Beginnings event where the winning track will be played.

Toddla T and Roses Gabor have released a new track entitled Pandora’s Box (BACARDÍ Beginnings) and are encouraging you to remix it. Toddla T will pick the best remix and award the prize. The track can be heard and remixed at www.BacardiBeginnings.com

The original track was released on 4th September at 7pm however only the first beat was released. From then on every Facebook ‘Like’ and Twitter ‘Tweet’ the track received more of the track became available. Within an hour the entire track had been ‘unlocked’.

Toddla T gave some hints as to what his was looking for from the winning remix:
‘I’m encouraging people to do the most leftfield, mental stuff to it. Don’t be shy, don’t be precious, if you want to literally use the kick and the snare and one vocal piece go for it. In a remix I personally look for something that I can play so it’s not necessarily the technicality of it, it’s just how you’ve switched it to a different area. If people put extra vocals on it the brownie points are high. And have fun! You can push a remix as far as you want. Just go, go, go for it – do what feels right.’

BACARDÍ Beginnings aims to encourage people to boldly pursue their passions, just as the iconic rum brand has done for more than 150 years – if yours is music, get involved at www.BacardiBeginnings.com
