What’s on at the BarLife Show?

For the first time ever the North’s leading hospitality show will have an area dedicated to the cocktail and bar industry.

BarLife is taking place at the Northern Restaurant & Bar show on 1st – 2nd March at Manchester Central (old GMEX). Here’s what’s going on and here is the really good news – it’s free to attend.

Exhibitors

Some of the best spirits brands and bar equipment in the country converge on Manchester to give all Northern bar industry professionals the chance to see what is out there.
Amongst some of the companies there sampling their wares are Diageo, Cellar Trends, Inspirit, Reformed Spirits Company, Pernod Ricard, BarBlades.com, Morgenrot, Christian Audigier Vodka, Global Brands, MolecularMixology.co.uk, LWC and plenty more.

Competitions

The central purpose built theatre will be hosting several top competitions kicking off with the final of the Northern Bartender of the Year competition sponsored by Jameson.
Following a series of heats in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Chester the best of the North’s bartending talent will be fighting it out for the honour of title and a VIP trip to Ireland with Jameson.
Later on the first day will be the first ever Northern Tiki Off sponsored by El Dorado rum with the best Tiki bars around battling for the chance to claim the title and qualify for the National Tiki Off later in the year.
The second day of the show will feature the dirty northern cousin of Rematch Beeyatch – Reet-match Beeyatch run by The Liquorists.

Talks, Tastings, Workshops and more.

When the BarLife Theatre isn’t thrilling you with competitions it will be educating and entertaining you with a plethora of speakers. Ian Burrell will be on hand during day one to give you the History of Rum in 10 cocktails and 45 minutes!!
Manchester’s own Tom Sneesby and Jody Monteith will be on hand both days with a History of the Punch on day one and How to Win a Cocktail Competition on day two.
Day two also features the Award Winning Stefanie Holt from El Dorado Rum with her take on the Wonderful World of Rum including some tastings of the excellent El Dorado range.
If all of that isn’t enough the MolecularMixology.co.uk will also be in the theatre to show you just what you can do with a little bit of equipment and a whole lot of imagination to Take your Drinks to the Next Level.
