Cask Job Specification for Brand Manager – Full time, Office based

Job description

This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies, marketing plans and delivering experiential events. Making that happen involves duties such as acting as a key liaison with brand owners to convey information, ensure understanding, and make certain everything gets done in an accurate, timely manner. The role covers include all the major cities in the UK and reports directly into the directors of CASK.

The role’s key responsibilities are:

  • Create a branded strategy plan using full marketing mix & transition into actionable brand plans
  • Integrate global brand plans and execute in the manner that fits the UK environment
  • Develop the equity of the brands with an emphasis on profile and desirability
  • Identify relevant taste makers and influencers, engaging them to raise awareness of the brand
  • Follow existing reporting practises & communicate Best Practise
  • Manage campaigns across various platforms: PR, Social, Partnerships, Digital & Events
  • Implement and regularly update a Brand plan for each brand
  • Be acutely aware of each brand’s performance and be able to react quickly to enable changes to plans, when necessary

Reporting:

  • A&P budget management to be regularly reported to Brand Owners and CASK directors
  • Monthly reports created for each Brand owner
  • Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders

Brand Building:

  • Plan and implement any events and activations, with support of the Brand teams
  • Ensure a Best Practise document is completed demonstrating the ROI and any learnings
  • Liaise with Band Ambassadors working with the brand

General Standards of Performance:

  • Deliver against a set of KPI’s agreed with all stakeholders

Candidate Profile and Core Skills

  • Minimum 3 years commercial experience in Wines & Spirits industry
  • High level of business acumen, with a commercial awareness
  • Experience of working with research and/or creative agencies
  • Insight aware and solutions driven
  • A team player, able to develop collaborative, strong and effective working relationships
  • Digitally savvy, with knowledge and experience in testing new ideas through digital channels and an early adopter of new technology and digital products and platforms
  • Innovative and solutions-focussed with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A flexible and resilient approach to product development and innovation, with a curious mindset to explore opportunities and overcome challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to influence a range of audiences and stakeholders
