The Government has acted on recommendations from the Low Pay Commission and is raising minimum wage rates from October 1st, 2010.
The increases are as follows:
- £5.80 to £5.93 per hour for workers aged 21 and over
- £4.83 to £4.92 per hour for workers ages 18 – 20
- £3.57 to £3.64 an hour for workers aged 16 – 17
Not exactly a stellar increase, but welcome nonetheless.
