Torino Distillati (previously Seagram Italia) Master Distiller Denis Muni passed away this week following a battle with cancer.
Muni leaves behind his wife, son, and a host of friendships he made over the course of a successful 30-year career in the drinks industry.
At the helm of distilling at Torino Distillati, which produces liqueurs, brandies, grappa, syrups, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, Denis developed many of award-winning global drinks brands including Malfy Gin and aperitivo brands Italicus Rosolio Di Bergamotto and Hotel Starlino.
Muni was a respected industry figure, recognised for his talent, craft and dedication to creating world class spirits. Even more so, he’s remembered by friends for being an incredible person. He’ll be sorely missed across the industry, around the world, but not least in his home city of Turin, Italy where his funeral took place this week.
