The North’s Top 50 Awards Open for Nominations

Northern Restaurant & Bar Top 50 Awards nomination deadline: 5pm on 22nd January, 2019

Nominations for the NRB Top Fifty have opened. The awards seek to recognise fifty individuals who have, in the eyes of the judges, made an exceptional contribution to the Northern hospitality industry.

Now in its eighth iteration, and this year named the Kuits NRB Top 50 (presumably because the sponsor asked for a discount, so the NRB team said ‘how about we name the whole thing after you instead’), the awards will be assessed by a panel of industry experts. Judges are looking for “operators who show consistent commercial success, as well as evolution and innovation, and who have made a greater contribution to the industry and the region in terms of skills, training, ambassadorial work and CSR.”

Northern industry folk can nominate themselves, or any individual they feel is deserving of recognition. Lyndon Higginson will probably win, and steadfastly refuse to dress smartly at the ceremony, which is one of the reasons we like him.

Nominations are open until 5pm on Tuesday 22nd January, and the results will be announced at Northern Restaurant & Bar show in March, 2019.
