Over the years the UK RumFest has grown to become one of the must attend shows in the UK bar calendar – this year sees a new initiative The Boutique RumFest.
The Boutique RumFest is a new event which has been created especially with the bar trade in mind. Taking place on the 14th October from 12pm – 7pm at The Hilton Olympia, Boutique has been specially put together to give all those new and boutique rum and cachaca brands the opportunity to sample their products to the key people in the trade…. That’s you!
There are currently 16 companies signed up with dozens of brands available most of which even the most dedicated rum bartender won’t have yet been able to try. Not only will there be all of these lovely products to try but the afternoon also has a series of talks but some of the world’s leading rum and drinks experts such as Jeff Beachbum Berry, Dave Broom, Stefanie Holt, Tito Cordero and of course Mr Ian Burrell. All of the talks are free to attend but will be run on a first come first served basis so don’t miss out.
On top of all of this there will the first round of the Tiki Bartender of the Year competition sponsored by Don Q Rum with the grand prize of a walk on part in a Hollywood movie – oh yes!! There will be more details on how to enter this on BarLifeUK in the next couple of days so keep an eye out.
