Fancy 5 days in New Orleans, drinking cocktails and rubbing Boston shakers with some of the worlds greatest bartenders and drinks experts? Us too. Well now is your chance as the tickets for this years Tales of the Cocktail taking place on July 21st – 25th, have just gone on sale.
Now in its 8th year this event grows and improves each time and this year they have pushed the boundaries even further with a line up of speakers and moderators (posh word for speakers from what we can gather) which reads like who’s who of the liver failure committee including: BarLifeUK’s very own Angus Winchester alongside Salvatore Calabrese, Dale DeGroff, Charlotte Voisey, Simon Ford, Philip Duff, Jacob Briars, Eben Freeman, David Wondrich, Jim Meehan and Robert Hess as well as our friends from Australia David Spanton and Simon McGoram.
This year there are 4 different types of tickets for sale starting from $105 (£70) and going up to the Founders Day Package for $595 (£400) which gets you into 14 seminars as well as access to most of the evening events. The seminar topics are once again so well thought out that deciding which ones to go to is nearly as taxing as deciding which bar in Bourbon Street you’ll hit up first (click here for the full listing).
On top of a mind blowing list of daily events there are many evening parties to ensure that you can chat and socialise with the bar legends on display who are only to happy to meet up with fellow bar geeks from all over the world. These include the Spirited Awards, The New Orleans Cocktail Tour, Cocktail Hour sponsored by Diageo and the Worldwide Cocktail Excursion presented by Beam Global.
Although BarLifeUK has never been lucky enough to go (hint hint!!) the feedback we have got from friends and colleagues who have made the trip is it is truly an amazing few days but whatever you do book a couple of days R&R afterwards to recover!!
