Seedlip Launch Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Competition

Ever since Seedlip arrived onto the UK bartending scene they have been doing things differently, and this continues with the launch of their first cocktail competition.

First off, this is a non-alcoholic cocktail competition, focusing on one of the most exciting areas of drinks innovation and an increasingly important part of any bartenders repertoire. However, for us, it is the prize that really makes this a unique opportunity.

The overall winner will be given the tools to sow, grow and produce their very own limited edition Seedlip spirit. With a brand whose values respect the art of nature the winning entrant will also be provided with an acre of land on the Seedlip farm in Lincolnshire.

You’ll be equipped with the expertise and budget from Seedlip to help you plant, grow and produce your spirit from seed to lip.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop your own non-alcoholic spirit, working with the land and the Seedlip team.

Competition

To enter the competition, you will be asked to produce a non-alcoholic cocktail with the theme of ‘Farm to Bar’.

You must use at least 35ml of Spice 94 or Garden 108 in your cocktail

There will be three heats throughout the UK, in London, Scotland and the North of England. From there the top two in each will be invited to the final at the Seedlip Farm HQ to compete in front of a stella line up of judges.

In the heats each competitor will be judged on:

  • Product Knowledge
  • Presentation/bartending chat
  • Presentation of cocktail (aesthetics and aroma)
  • Taste
  • The story and overall bartending skills

This is a true test of your drink creating skills, no alcohol to fall back on, no peach liqueur to balance everything out, oh and don’t forget that most bitters are alcoholic.

Enter your drink specs and details in the form below. Entry deadline is Sunday 30th July

If you would like a bottle to experiment with please email competition@seedlipdrinks.com with your postal address and don’t forget to let them know wether you would like Spice 94 or Garden 108.
