RUMFEST 2013 is here, it’s this weekend, it’s got a whole new bar trade section and BarLifeUK has 4 tickets to give you.
How’s the liver feeling? After a couple of weeks that included Moscow Bar Show, Bar Convent Berlin, Spain’s first bar show and London Cocktail Week the craziness ends this weekend in style with RumFest.
Now in its 7th year the annual celebration of all things rummy is back at ExCel on the 12th – 13th October full of great rums and superb masterclasses. This year the man in charge Ian Burrell has changed things up slightly including a dedicated Trade Area just for you geeky bar folk.
The Boutique RumFest is designed for the bar industry to see and try new and boutique Rum and Cachaça brands. This is a fantastic opportunity to try brands you may not have seen or in some cases heard of before.
Masterclasses over the two days include sessions by Smuggler’s Cove creator Martin Cates, Malcolm Gosling, Angostura’s John George, Tito Cordero from Diplomatico and of course Ian Burrell himself leading a premium rum tasting.
As we have come to expect from RumFest there is so much more than just rum sampling to enjoy, this year you can enjoy the Dominoes and Rum Punch Area thanks to Cottons Camden and J Wray & Nephew, feast at the Tropical Food Market, pick up Caribbean cooking tips at the Food Demo Stage and watch cocktail comps and live music on the Main Entertainment Stage.
Sounds like a pretty good couple of day’s right? Tickets for the show (including the Boutique Area) are just £25 however for £45 you can gain access to the Connoisseurs Cove section which offers the opportunity to try a selection of premium rums without the need for drinks tokens as well as access to the main show AND Boutique Area.
