It is with huge sadness that we deliver the news that Pierre Fajloun has passed away.
When any member of the bartending community dies it is a sad occasion but when it is someone who has touched the hearts of so many, as Pierre certainly has, it is a particularly dark moment.
Pierre Fajloun was one of the finest bartenders and people you would care to meet. Anyone who worked in or visited Australia over the past few years will attest that his personality was only matched by the quality of the drinks he served and the experience he gave each and every guest he encountered – I am honoured to have been one on numerous occasions.
His Facebook page is a true testament to just how wide his circle of friends were and just how much he means to them. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
The funeral is being held in Australia at 9am this Saturday and we would like to propose that everyone in the UK who remembers Pierre raise a glass to his memory at midnight on Friday to remember the man and his smile.
