Want to own one of the very first casks of whisky to be produced in London since the Lea Valley Distillery closed over 100 years ago?… Obviously.
East London Liquor Company have just launched The Creators Cask 2015 and have a limited number of 25 inaugural casks for purchase. Great investment, even better gift. Sizes ranges from 30L – 200L and with various cask styles such as new oak, ex-red wine or ex-bourbon.
Once you’ve selected your cask it will be filled with London Rye Whisky that is produced on site at ELLC and then left to let the magic happen. You can visit whenever you want to check on the maturation process (giving you a great excuse to head down there to drink some of their awesome cocktails).
You may want to start saving as prices start at £4,100 for a 30L new oak cask and go up to £21,200 for an ex bourbon 200L cask (which would get you approximately 269 bottles!).
It sounds like a pretty good gift to us…(our birthday is in October).
