The 2011 Northern Bartender of the Year competition final…
…will take place in March on the BarLife stage at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show in Manchester.
Now Closed for New Entries
Introduced for 2011, which will be the show’s 10th year, regional heats in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Chester will select the entrants who will compete for the Northern Bartender of the Year crown in a two-round final.
We are very happy to announce that Jameson Irish Whiskey will be sponsoring the Northern Bartender of the Year competition in 2011, and have provided a great prize for the winner.
The newly-crowned champion will be taken to Dublin in June 2011 to attend the Jameson Bartender’s Ball, spending three days in the city as Jameson’s guests and participating in a range of grin-inducing activities.
In addition, each Northern Bartender of the Year finalist will receive a personalised bottle of Jameson.
Entry Criteria
To enter the Northern Bartender of the Year competition, you will need to submit your signature cocktail recipe, along with a brief description of your method and reason for choosing it to entries@barlifeuk.com
- Your signature drink should contain at least 30ml of Jameson Irish Whiskey.
- This competition is open to any bartender working at least two shifts a week in a bar in the North of the UK.
Regional Heats and the Final
The best recipes submitted will be chosen by a panel of experts, and the successful competitors will be invited to compete in the regional heat nearest to them.
In addition to making your signature cocktail, there will be a ‘mystery box’ round, in which you will be required to create a drink from ingredients handed to you on the day.
