Chartreuse is planning on giving something back to bartenders
The Chartreuse Elixir competition will allow bartenders to decide their own fate in a “Come Dine with Me” style contest. Heats will be held in Edinburgh, Brighton, Leeds, and London with two competitors from each heat making it through to the final, which will be held in London early 2011 (venue TBC).
Each bartender will make their drink in front of the other competitors. The competitors will then all get to judge each others creation. So the winner will ultimately be the bartender’s choice.
The prize will be a two day trip to the French Alps. The itinerary will include a visit to the Monastery of Chartreuse; the Chartreuse distillery and of course some skiing with plenty of top-quality après-ski.
The Elixir Competition is now accepting entrants and the deadline for entries is December 31st 2010. Be inventive and stylistic – the only rule is that your cocktail must include 25ml of Green Chartreuse.
