Boutique Bar Show is back in London this September and there are a whole host of new brands being showcased there.
On September 16th – 17th at The Grand Hall St Pancras, Boutique Bar Show (BBS) holds the 7th edition of it’s London exhibition. As we have come to expect from the show it is packed full of great talks with a host of superb speakers taking place alongside a fantastic line up of exhibitors.
We’ll bring you more news on the talks next week but first we want to concentrate on the exhibitors and in particular the superb array of new brands being sampled. The new liquids you can try out come from a wide range of categories so there is bound to be something for everyone.
Here are some of the stand outs we have spotted you might want to check out for yourself:
Burleighs Gin
Jamie Baxter has long been a friend of BarLifeUK and last year launched a new distillery named 45 West Distillers, he has even been writing some articles for us about the experience. BBS see’s the chance to find the out what they’ve been up to with the first product to be released – Burleighs Gin.
Ysabel Regina
We first got to try Ysabel Regina in Ibiza at the Gin Mare competition last year and it has now made it’s way to the UK thanks to Cask Liquid Marketing. It is a fascinating product combining Petite & Grande Champagne VSOP Cognacs and Solera Gran Reserva brandy from Jerez before being aged in Pedro Ximenez casks for over a year.
East London Liquor Company
Launching exclusively at Boutique Bar Show, East London Liquor Company would be worth the entrance fee alone if the show wasn’t free. It is East London’s first new distillery in over 150 years and are producing 3 types of Gin, Vodka, Rum and Whisky. Not only have they got their own products by are also distributing brands from the Lost Spirits Distillery in California.
Nikka Coffey Malt & High West Vodka 7000’
Earlier this year Nikka held a range tasting which we thoroughly enjoyed. One of our favourites at the tasting was the Nikka Coffey Grain however their famous Coffey stills also produce another whisky, Nikka Coffey Malt. When you pop by the Marussia Beverages stand to check it out why not give High West Vodka 7000’, the only vodka in the world made from oats, a go too.
Kings County Bourbon
We do love Bourbon and so a new one is always going to get us excited. In this case it has a nice UK link as well as the Kings County Distillery’s Bourbon is made from New York State organic corn and malted barley from the UK before being aged in new American oak barrels. Pop by the Amathus Drinks stand to have a try.
Bermondsey Tonic Water
This one has BarLifeUK intrigued, mainly as we have no idea what the definition of their claim to be the ‘UK’s first small batch tonic water’ actually means. What we do know however is it looks superb and we are looking forward to trying it’s traditional Victorian recipe using Cinchona Bark, Citric Acid, sugar and water.
Greenhook Ginsmiths
Whilst you’re at the Amathus stand keep an eye out for the flagship product from the Greenhook Ginsmiths based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. Launched in February 2012 in the states this American Dry Gin is made using a technique known as ‘Vacuum Distillation’. Find out more at the stand.
On top of all of those you also have Pierre Lecat Cognac, Lanique (from Love Drinks), Arta Tequila, Polugar Bread Wine, Cornish Pastis and dozens more exhibitors.
Sounds impressive doesn’t it? And it’s free to attend. To register yourself for a ticket head to the Boutique Bar Show website right here
