Mast-Jaegermeister to Bring German Small Batch Brand Gin Sul to UK

Jaegermeister, a brand with which most bartenders will be intimately familiar, have announced a distribution partnership that will bring German small batch gin, Gin Sul, to the UK.

Gin Sul, which is described as being ‘inspired by the fragrance of the Western Algarve’, is distilled in Hamburg, using ingredients sourced in Portugal. The distillery, home to a 100 litre copper pot still, was founded in 2013 by Stephan Garbe. Botanicals include organic juniper, rosemary, coriander, rose blossom, lavender, and cinnamon.

Gin Sul is packaged in a white-glazed stoneware bottle, which both protects its contents from UV damage, and perhaps more importantly, will look striking on a back bar.

The distribution partnership is a first for Mast-Jaegermeister, and marks a new direction for the company which until now has focussed solely on building the Jaegermeister brand in the UK.

Guy Lawrence, CEO at Mast-Jaegermeister UK, says: “We see a great deal of potential for Gin Sul as the UK market continues to embrace gin, and furthermore, consumers trade up to craft brands that deliver on quality drinking experiences. Gin Sul’s unique background and positioning make it an ideal proposition for the UK on-trade as bartenders seek out gin brands with distinction and a flavour profile that lends itself well to a range of serves.”

Gin Sul is available to the on-trade in 50cl bottles, ABV 43%. For more information, contact your Jaegermeister rep.
