Leeds Rum Festival Partners with The Black Music Festival in 2019

Leeds Rum Festival: Saturday September 21st, Leeds Corn Exchange, 7pm – Late

LRF organisers Bruce Lerman and Sam Fish

Leeds Rum Festival (LRF) returns for a fourth outing in September, and this year the event’s organisers Sam Fish and Bruce Lerman have partnered with the Black Music Festival (formerly known as Leeds Reggae Concert).

Sam Fish says of the new-look LRF: “We are really excited to be working with Black Music Festival this year… We’ve always wanted to grow the Rum Fest and continue to bring people from all over the world whilst keeping it ‘Leeds’ and we think this partnership is symbolic of our ethos. This year’s visitors can expect steel pans, incredible costumes, song, and dance on top of our much-loved masterclasses, and over 100 expressions of Rum – all included in the ticket price.”

Over 30 rum brands and 100 rum expressions will be available for visitors to learn about, and of course, taste. A programme of masterclasses led by category experts will run throughout the evening, alongside a Rum Shack Bar for more ‘in depth’ drinks exploration, street food for maintaining a proper blood sugar balance, and a shop that will sell punters a bottle of anything that has taken their fancy during the tastings.

Tickets cost £20 and are on sale now via Eventbrite.
