Jim Beam Launch Signature Craft 12-Year

2014 is already turning into a good year for UK fans of American Whisky and Jim Beam are the latest to make us happy.

The newest member of the Jim Beam family (joining Jim Beam, Jim Beam Black, Red Stag, Devil’s Cut and Honey) is Jim Beam Signature Craft 12-Year and represents the brands first foray into the Ultra Premium bourbon market.

Crafted by 7th generation Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe, who was recently over in the UK, it is aged for 12 years and bottled at 43%. Each bottle is also adorned with James B. Beams signature which has been the case since the end of Prohibition in the US (the second prohibition for all your smart alec’s out there).

Maxxium UK’s Marketing Controller for Imported Whiskey, Eileen Livingston says:

“It’s an exciting time to be introducing this ultra-premium bourbon in the UK. Interest in the category is at an all-time high and the launch of Jim Beam Signature Craft 12-Year allows our consumers to explore a small batch bourbon created by a brand they love and trust. This handcrafted bourbon brings something new to the world of small batch bourbons and showcases Jim Beam’s signature production process.”

We have yet to try it but no doubt it will be appearing on back bars up and down the country very soon. For more info on how to get hold of it speak to your local Maxxium rep or hit up your booze suppliers.

There is also going to be an annual limited release series of the product which starts with a 12-year finished in Rare Brandy Barrels. No news yet has reached us about when, if at all, this expression will be reaching our stores but we will of course keep you updated.
