Since the Summer of 2005 (notwithstanding a little blip in 2006), Australia Day has become an Englishman’s favourite foreigner’s holiday.

While we’ve always enjoyed a bit of banter with the Aussies, as inevitably as Ian Bell crumbling at Warnie’s taunts of ‘great shot Sherminator’, Brits always been on the back foot when the cricket mocking starts.

This injustice is no more (at least for now), and we can look forward to Australia Day as an opportunity to highlight the Old Enemy’s obvious sporting inadequacies.

And, for those of you who can make it to Shoreditch Grind this Saturday, you can do so while drinking lots of Coopers Sparkling Ale.

As you would expect of an Aussie bash, there will be BBQ food on hand, cocktails in the evening and DJs to supply a suitable soundtrack for the day.
