Irish Craft Cocktail Awards public voting ends, category long lists announced
Founded in 2014, The Irish Craft Cocktail Awards (ICCA) aim to “celebrate the skill, training, uniqueness and artistry of craft cocktail concoction in Ireland”, and at the same time raise some money for charitable causes, with €17,000 so far raised for organisations such as Samaritans Ireland, Pieta House, and Dublin Simon Community.
The ICCA takes a Tales-ish approach to organising the awards, with nominations generated by a first stage of (public) voting, and a second stage of industry voting to select the eventual winners. The public vote has now ended, and last night the ICCA team released the 2019 category long lists. An industry-only voting period will shortly commence, in order to produce the short lists, with ultimate winners announced at the award ceremony.
