Irish bartending duo Aaron Wall and Ciarán Smith, who have previously worked at Callooh Callay, LCC, and The Dorchester, are to open their first bar this month.

Homeboy is described as possessing warm Irish hospitality and the comforts of home, paired with ‘delicious drinks and sinful food’. Sounds lovely…

Guests will be able to enjoy drinks from a menu that aims to celebrate Irish produce, with Irish whiskey in abundance, along with food such as ‘Da’s Irish Stew, and Ma’s Brown Bread’. All of this will be accompanied by a hip-hop and RnB soundtrack.

The theme of the bar is modern Irish hospitality, with Homeboy’s founders saying: “Hospitality is a core part of Irish culture that dates back hundreds of years. There was once a set of civil laws in Ireland that stated if a traveller was in need, an Irish citizen must welcome them into their home and offer food, drink, entertainment and a bed… Aaron and Ciarán plan to bring this to life once again, and showcase the very best of Irish hospitality, alongside the Ireland’s rich food and drink offering, at Homeboy.

Aaron Wall recently spoke to The Dean Callan Show about Homeboy. You can watch the video here.
