Global Brands Headquarters Converted To Vaccination Centre

Open 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, Chesterfield’s Casa Hotel will be able to vaccinate over 300 people per day.

Over the last year there have been numerous examples of companies helping the hospitality industry during the pandemic, and Global Brands owner Steve Perez saw an opportunity to do just that once the vaccines were announced.

As we all know, the quick administering of a vaccine is one of the key steps in getting hospitality venues across the country reopening and to do that the NHS needs venues to act as vaccination centres. Steve Perez not only owns Global Brands but also Casa Hotels and saw an opportunity to offer up the Casa Hotel (which also serves as the headquarters for Global Brands) to help with the vaccination effort.

It wasn’t as simple as it may sound, Steve and his team had to work hard to get the hotel ready to be used and of course there was a mountain of red tape to navigate.

All the hard work was worth it though when Casa Hotel opened its doors for a different type of cliental. The centre is being managed by specially trained pharmacists and staff from local Peak Pharmacy branches and supported by the team from Casa and The Peak Edge Hotel to help with duties such as marshalling.

‘I am absolutely delighted we are able to help – it’s fantastic.’ Steve said ‘It is a great example of hospitality business working with a local company and NHS to serve the community. We are excited to be part of this initiative and do our bit! We are ideally located with plenty of space, a dedicated car park and lots of staff who will be on hand to help with aspects such as marshalling. The more vaccination centres we can have in the region, the better – and the quicker we can get back to living our lives again.’

We doff our caps to Steve and his team for all their work getting this up & running and helping to move the UK a bit closer to reopening hospitality. Our industry is pretty fucking great.
