For the first time, Glenfiddich’s Malt Mastermind competition will take place in Dufftown, birthplace of the eponymous spirit.

The ultimate prize for the winner of this year’s competition is an all-expenses-paid trip to the Glenfiddich distillery, where he or she will taste a range of rare expressions, and be given access to parts of the distillery not open to the general public.

The winner will also receive £1000 cash, a stay in luxury Scottish accommodation and the chance to be on the judging panel for the 2014 competition.
