Fling Seeking Dubai-based Training Manager
Fling Bar Services is a dedicated group of professional bar developers and hospitality operators delivering training, development and consultancy services to the luxury hotel and hospitality sector.
We are a small but well established company with a superb reputation in the market and a portfolio of clients that includes independent venues as well as luxury hotels and resorts in over 30 countries worldwide.
We are looking for a candidate to help develop our presence in the UAE and wider region, maintain the ethos and quality of our product whilst continuing to drive our reputation. This exciting role will see extensive international travel acting as a specialist consultant to deliver bar training and development programmes, pre-opening contracts and operational support within the luxury hospitality market.
The role will involve:
- Delivering comprehensive training and consultancy programs
- Creating signature cocktails, menus and beverage concepts
- Developing training and operational materials
- Assisting the Operations Director to support and advise on Fling Bar Services’ contracts
- Ensuring the maintenance of Fling Bar Services training and operational standards
- Managing and developing existing and potential clients
- Extensive overseas travel; involving up to 28 weeks per year outside of Dubai
The candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years industry experience plus a minimum of two years bar management experience
Pre-opening and bar set up experience - Experience of luxury international hospitality (preferred but not essential)
- Original cocktail development and beverage product conceptualisation skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of products, contemporary and classic cocktails, drink production methods and global beverage trends
- A strong operations ability including bar organisation, purchasing, budgeting, beverage costing and sales mix analysis skills
- The ability to self-manage, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be pro-active in finding solutions to operational, ergonomic or logistical issues
- The ability to communicate comfortably at corporate and senior management level
- A conscientious approach and keen eye for detail; an understanding of the wider role of the bar within a restaurant or hotel operation
- Team building skills and an ability to work considerately and enthusiastically with multiple cultures and levels of experience
- Passion for the beverage industry and the drive to implement change
- A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially word and excel
- The ability to create coherent, professional written reports in English
- Wine knowledge would be considered a bonus but is not essential
The role is based in Dubai, representing our new subsidiary Fling Bar Services Middle East LLC. Relocation for the role will be considered for the right candidate.
