El Jimador Bartender Cup Hits London on November 21

Win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the spirit’s Mexican homeland and the legendary Casa Herradura.

The El Jimador Bartender Cup is coming to London, starting on 20th November (the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution) and running until 22 November 2011. The challenge: to define the future face of tequila.

Spectators are very welcome, so come along and drink some fantastic Tequila and cheer on your homeboy/girl.

The competition will take place at London’s Cable on 21 November, where the hand-picked bartenders will battle to create the best drinks in three categories:

  • original long drink
  • original cocktail
  • original shot.

Judged by a panel of industry experts, including Tom Sandham, Editor and Founder of Dwink.com, Soul Shakers’ Giles Looker and BarLifeUK editor, Andy Ives, winners will be crowned in each of the three categories.

In true revolutionary style, the overall winner takes all with the ultimate El Jimador bartender bagging a once-in-a-lifetime four day trip to the spirit’s Mexican homeland and the legendary Casa Herradura.

Before the event, the chosen bartenders will enjoy the real side of London with a tour of the city’s street art and lunch in the legendary Wahaca, before Marian Beke of London’s Nightjar provides a show-stopping cocktail master class.

El Jimador’s global ambassador and world-renowned tequila expert Rubens Aceves, will also lead a Tequila master class.

On the night, bartenders and guests will enjoy top London djs and spectacular acts at the events after party.
