Scotch Whisky Weekend: 22nd – 26th January, 2020; Various London Venues
DrinkUp.London, the permanently busy brains behind London Cocktail Week, begin their 202 programme of events next week with Scotch Whisky Weekend (SWW). Timed to coincide with Burns Night (Saturday 25th January), visitors to SWW can enjoy £6 whisky cocktails at a host of participating venues, and access to a range of events aimed at celebrating and exploring the Scotch whisky category.
SWW festival passes are free, and can be downloaded via the DrinkUp.London app or website. A full list of participating venues can be found here.

Peated Whisky Masterclass with David Miles & Laphroaig at Black Rock – Wednesday 22nd January
Join whisky expert David Miles, who will be showcasing an incredible range of whiskies from one of Islay’s best, the Royal Warrant approved – Laphroaig Distillery. Attendees can taste five drams; Laphroaig 10, Quarter Cask, Lore, 10 Cask Strength (a big team favourite) and a very special treat… a newly made spirit from Laphroaig, directly off the still – this delicious liquid rarely makes it outside the distillery grounds, making this a truly unforgettable session.

The Blend by Chivas Regal – Tuesday 21st – Saturday 25th January
To celebrate Scotch Whisky Weekend, Chivas Regal are hosting a special masterclasses at Mac & Wild, Devonshire Square, where guests can create a whisky you can call your own. Guests will learn the history of Chivas Regal, blend 200ml of your very own whisky, then learn to make your own whisky highball twists. Tickets include the masterclass, a complimentary Chivas Highball and your 200ml bottle of whisky to take home.
