Diageo World Class White Spirits Forums

Diageo’s uber-competition turns its attention to the white spirits category

There are also white spirits sessions in London, Edinburgh and Bristol

World Class is undoubtedly one of the most expansive cocktail competitions around, having truly global scope and exposure.

To be in with a chance of winning this coveted prize and following in 2010 winner Eric Lorincz’s footsteps, you first have to progress through the regional selection process to the National final.

To do this, you need to attend one of the sector forums (whichever covers the spirit you would most like to work with), which provide brand and sector training that will help you create a successful cocktail submission.

The next forums focus on white spirits, with Ketel One and Tanqueray Number 10 that brands in question.

Dave Wondrich (author of Imbibe) and Tom Nicol (Tanqueray Number 10 master distiller) will be leading the forum, which will include cocktail-making demonstrations as well as brand history and characteristics training, and your subsequent recipe submission will be judged by Simon Difford.
