Diageo & Hospitality Action Grants Go Live Monday 23rd

Both employers & employees can apply for help on Monday 23rd, don’t miss out.

The first company to announce help for the industry in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic was Diageo/Guinness. Up to £600 per venue will be available from their £1,000,000 war chest. Owners/operators can apply at their MyDiageo.com site.

Whilst the grant is available to all, not just Diageo accounts, you do need to register an account so we suggest you do this today to ensure you don’t miss out if the site gets overwhelmed tomorrow.

Second up is a new grant announced by Hospitality Action aimed at employees. Anyone who has worked in hospitality in the last month and has had their job terminated or hours reduced will be able to apply for a £250 payment.

For this one they are asking you to supply a full month’s bank statement and evidence from your employer that your job has ended, or hours have been reduced. Again we suggest you get this sorted today so you can get your application in early tomorrow. You can apply for this one at the Hospitality Action website (this website is currently just showing a holding page which we assume is whilst they get everything ready for tomorrow).

Massive thanks to Diageo and Hospitality Action for their help for our industry and good luck to everyone applying.
