Villa Ascenti to release Rosa edition, Christie Knight appointed brand ambassador
Diageo announced today that Villa Ascenti Gin has introduced a new liquid – Villa Ascenti Rosa.
The Rosa variant is an Italian gin described as “capturing the distinctive taste of ripe peaches grown from the hills of Piemonte“. Production is overseen by master distiller Lorenzo Rosso, a trained winemaker and distiller, at the Villa Ascenti distillery in Santa Vittoria, Italy. Ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers within the Piedmont region are used by Rosso and his team to create Villa Ascenti Rosa’s balance of juniper, fresh herbs, peaches, and Brachetto grapes.
Lorenzo Rosso says: “I’m delighted to be sharing the newest addition to the portfolio, Villa Ascenti Rosa. We distil our gin using only the finest Italian ingredients to create a liquid of the highest quality and flavour. The flavour is also enhanced through copper distillation; the ripe peach and Brachetto grape distillate is perfectly balanced with Tuscan Juniper berries to offer a unique, subtly sweet, smooth and velvety finish. It is the ultimate gin to be shared and savoured with family and close friends who enjoy good food and good drinks.”
Newly-appointed GB Brand Ambassador Christie Knight, who has spent two years travelling the world honing her mixology skills in numerous venues within the hospitality sector, says of the new gig: “I’m thrilled to be the new GB Brand Ambassador and spokesperson for Villa Ascenti. Villa Ascenti Rosa is available now in Sainsbury’s and online, and will be rolled out to the On-Trade next year.
