Competitions at Boutique Bar Show

Boutique Bar Show London is taking place on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th September and there is plenty going on.

As well as all of the amazing talks (details here) and plethora of brands on show (details on that tomorrow) there are many excellent comps taking place.

Whether you want to cheer on friends and colleagues, pick up tips or just watch the show, Boutique Bar Show’s competition stage is full of awesome competitions next week.

Luxardo Masters of Maraschino Final

11:30am Tuesday 18th September

Following unprecedented levels of entries 12 bartenders have been picked to go all out in a competition to be crowned the London Master of Maraschino. As well as the kudos the winners will be lining up to win a trip for two to the home of Luxardo, Italy as well as runners up prizes including £150 to spend in a restaurant of their choice, bottles of Luxardo Maraschino and copies of Tom Sandham’s new book.

Janneau Armagnac All for One, and One for All Competition

3:00pm Tuesday 18th September

This Three Musketeers themed competition will see bars and cities battling it out in teams of three to create a sharing drink consisting of at least 75ml Janneau V.S.O.P. A quick look at the teams and having heard some of the plans for the presentations this is going to be a great one to watch. The winners will be off on an all-inclusive trip to the South of France including surfing lessons!

El Dorado Rum Blue Drinks Competition

11:30am Wednesday 19th September

Do you need to know more than the title? It’s going to be Blue. It’s going to be 80’s. It’s going to be hilarious. The country’s finest bartenders have been waiting for a chance to invent the next classic blue drink and the time has come. The winner gains the honour of the blue and a bottle of El Dorado 21 year old. It’s going to be fun.

The Great Brugal Rumble – Southern Final

3:00pm Wednesday 19th September

It wouldn’t be a Boutique Bar Show without an inter-city competition and Brugal are back this year to find the best. Teams of 5 from cities across the South of England will be battling it out to create a punch inspired by their cities great heritage. Bristol currently holds the crown and aren’t going to give it up lightly. Expect great drinks and great theatre from those competing.
