Chilean Trade Commission Pisco Events in September and October

ProChile, the agency of the Chilean government that promotes Pisco overseas, has announced a series of education and tasting events for the drinks trade, all taking place in October and November.

The events are free to attend, you just need to drop the the agency a line at uk@prochile.gob.cl to let them know which one takes your fancy. An excellent opportunity to learn about Pisco from the people who make it, or to just have a look inside an embassy if you’ve never visited one before.

  • Wines of Chile Annual Trade Tasting: (13 September, 10:30am – 17:30pm, The Lindley Hall, Elverton Street, London, SW1P 2PB)
    For those looking to learn more about Pisco during the annual Wines of Chile trade tasting, there will be a Pisco bar featuring samples from a range of different brands and a refreshing Pisco Sour.   • Pisco Masterclass: (28 September, 15:30pm, Embassy of Chile, 37-41 Old Queen St, London SW1H 9BP)
    A spirit expert will lead a masterclass, showcasing eight different Piscos from four different companies, produced in the Coquimbo region of Chile. The mixologist Steeven D Rosales will also be showcasing the best serves for these Piscos in a variety of cocktails, highlighting the different taste profiles of the spirit. The evening will be accompanied by Chilean food
  • Chilean Pisco Showroom: (18 October, 17:00pm, Harrison’s Coffee, 3 Spring Street, London, W2 3RA)
    Coinciding with London Cocktail Week, bar managers and press are invited to the opening of a Chilean Pisco Showroom at Harrison’s Coffee, a prestigious Chilean restaurant in Paddington. This showroom has been built by the Pisco Association of Chile, and the President of this organisation will be in London for its inauguration. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about Pisco, from perfect serves to heritage, alongside therelease of a new Pisco cocktail recipe devised by mixologist Steeven D Rosales
