Chase Distillery Launch Williams Great British Extra Dry Gin

Herefordshire distillers create single estate English gin

Since producing their first run of potato vodka in 2008, Chase Distillery have gone from strength to strength.

Not only have their products sold well and won awards (such as the World’s Best Vodka medal at the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition), they have also supported bartenders with events such as their Rock The Farm festival.

Recognising the huge popularity of gin in recent times, Chase have launched what they are describing as “the first single estate English gin to be created in over 200 years”.

GB Extra Dry Gin uses organically grown potatoes which are distilled into vodka. This base spirit is then re-distilled into gin by infusing it with ten wild botanicals and naturally pure water taken from the aquifer that runs beneath the farm’s orchards, making it a truly single estate spirit – from field to bottle.

The botanicals Chase use to create this unique gin are juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice, orrice, orange, lemon, hops, elderflower and Bramley apple.

William Chase describes the GB Extra Dry Gin: “On the nose, you experience dry juniper with zesty citrus. Juniper, dark chocolate and citrus zest is upfront on the palate, followed by warm spicy notes in cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger… We make it with love from our own distilled spirit made from potatoes grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on our family farm deep in the middle of England.
