On Friday 11th October Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands are putting bartending history up for auction in the form of a limited edition copy of The Savoy American Bar Cocktail Book Volume 1 signed by the 5 surviving head bartenders.
Only 100 of these books exist and 99 have been gifted to some of the industry’s leading players however there is one remaining and this is your chance to own it. The auction is being held to raise money for the Barman’s Benevolent Fund, a charity to help UK bartenders who find themselves in times of need.
Also up for grabs is a copy of the second volume of The Savoy American Bar Cocktail Book (unsigned). The signed Volume 1 edition has a starting price of £200 and Volume 2 a starting price of £100.
The auction will be taking place at the Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands Hub at 69 Neal Street, Covent Garden WC2H 9PJ from 2pm on Friday 11th October. Before the auction you will have the chance to listen to Erik Lorincz and Declan Mcgurk chronicle The Savoy’s iconic cocktail heritage.
