Add Your Voice to the NTIA’s Report to Government on June Reopening (Survey)

NTIA call for responses to their ‘June 21st Reopening Roadmap’ survey

As you are no doubt acutely aware, June 21st is the date that the Government’s ‘reopening roadmap’ currently states all remaining legal restrictions aimed at curtailing the spread of Coronavirus will be lifted.

As you are also no doubt acutely aware, it takes time, effort, and money to prepare hospitality businesses to re-open or scale up to unrestricted operation, and so you probably have at least one eye on the news at all times, hoping for some indication that step 4 of the roadmap will indeed happen on June 21st.

On the one hand, coronavirus cases are on the rise in some regions, and on the other hand, vaccines, which have proved to be effective against the latest variant of concern have been administered to 72% of the adult population (at least one dose). In such a finely-poised situation, it is important that the Government understand the impact any change to the Step 4 date will have on the hospitality industry, particularly when it comes to staffing and stock, and to this end the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) have created a short, flash survey which asks operators to answer question on these issues. The survey results will be used to form part of a report that will be released to Government in the coming days.

Bar operators are encouraged to add their voices to the research, by completing the survey (takes a couple of minutes) which can be found below:
