It’s back! 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup

Returning like the second coming on a bungee rope is the 42BELOW Cocktail World Cup. It has to be one of the biggest and most entertaining competitions of the year and this June the Vodka Professor himself Jacob Briars is embarking on an eight city tour of the UK to find this year’s finalists.logo

So time for the specs – first up the deadline for entry is 25th June so you have two weeks left to find your inner Kiwi and submit your cocktail recipe to their website. If you get through to the regional finals (details of locations and dates below) then you will have to produce two cocktails – one signature and one in a quick fire challenge!

The top three will go through to the national final in London on 13th October for the big shake off and the chance to get that trip to New Zealand next March. There is also a Wild Card spot up for grabs which is available to the team which create the UK’s most popular new cocktail who automatically win a place in New Zealand!

Now we all know this is a highly prized comp to win and the stories which come out of it every year are always source of amusement at the BarLifeUK office. So folks get thinking, get mixing and get yourselves on that plane! Oh and as a bit of inspiration for you this year’s comp theme is ‘Carnival of the Cocktail’
