Meister Hunter is back for 2021 and this year it’s back in bars for the full Jäger comp experience.

Last year the Meister Hunter competition was one of the few to take place during lockdown, it was a lot of fun and there were some amazing drinks but we were over the moon when we heard this year it is back to the traditional in-bar heats and final. Two years ago Ellie Raeside from Tonic in Edinburgh triumphed in one of the most fun finals we can remember and we have no doubt this years will be even more entertaining.

This year the focus for the entries is on Jägermeister Cold Brew Coffee. To enter the competition you are being asked to create a serve using at least 25ml of Jägermeister Cold Brew and up to five other ingredients. There will also be additional bonus points for incorporating one or more of the themes Ice Cold, A Social Ritual, Celebrating The Moment and Bringing People Together.

Once you have created your delicious drink you will need to film yourself, or have someone else film you, making your serve and take a photo of the finished drink (no more assuming it’ll taste good and not actually making the drink – you know who you are). You need to then post these on Instagram as well as the drink specs tagging @meisterhunter and @jagermeisteruk and using the hashtag #meisterhunter.

Fear not if you are not an Instagram user, you can also email your entry over to meisterhunter@jaegermeister.co.uk and they upload to their Instagram feed.

From the entries 6 will be picked for each heat which will be taking place in August in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol. With the heat winners heading to London in September for a two day final with lots of fun and games planned.

As for the prizes, Jägermeister are giving the people want they want. Cold hard cash. The winner will walk away with £3K, second place gets £1K and third place £500. There will also be £100 spot prizes during the entry phase for any entries that particularly impress UK Brand Ambassador Florian Beuren and the team.

Entries are open between June 21st and August 27th.

Every year we look forward to getting on the road to judge the Meister Hunter competition, the quality of drinks and creativity always impresses, but this year after the last 12 months we are even more excited to see what you all get up to and it appears Florian is feeling the same:

‘After a difficult year, we are very excited to be able to run Meister Hunter at physical venues around the country. This year more than ever we want to take this opportunity to celebrate the amazing talent of UK bartenders, a collective who has certainly felt the impact of the pandemic. With the competition we hope to inspire and give participants a platform for self expression while providing financial support.’
