Jindea, the gin made with single estate first flush Darjeeling tea, are offering bartenders the chance to join a day-long training session with Ajit Madan, the UK’s first master tea sommelier. The session will include tea tasting, incorporating tea on your menu, food pairings, and tea service from a variety of different cultures around the world.  At completion of the course, students will become Tea Stewards, as certified by the International Tea Education Institute (ITEI).

The day also includes dinner and Jindea cocktails at Asma Khan’s Darjeeling Express, a venue readers may have seen featured on the Netflix show ‘Chef’s Table’.

BarLifeUK attended a tea workshop hosted by Ajit Madan at London Cocktail Week a few years ago, and found it extremely interesting. There isn’t much Madan doesn’t know about tea, and he has mastered the art of presenting somewhat technical information in an entertaining and enjoyable manner, so we expect these sessions to be a lot of fun.

If you would like to learn more about tea, and add ‘ITEI Tea Steward’ to your CV, let Jindea know you would like to attend by emailing them here: hello@jindeagin.com
