Club Soda Mindful Drinking Festival: 18th & 19th January 2020, The Truman Brewery, London

Bartenders wishing to explore low and no-alcohol options, be that for personal or menu development reasons, will be interested to learn that Club Soda’s Mindful Drinking Festival returns to the Truman Brewery this weekend.

Around 60 products from categories that include spirits, beer, cider, pre-packaged cocktails, and ‘adult’ soft drinks, will be available for sampling, with brand staff on hand to answer any questions visitors may have.

Masterclasses will also take place throughout the weekend, hosted by a panel of “wellness gurus” (typing that made me be a bit sick in my mouth). Speakers include Sober Girl Society, Love Sober, Andy Ramage, Toni Jones and Alice Rickard.

Discussion Panel Highlights

Saturday 18th Jan, 12:15 – 12:45: Cocktail with Lyre’s – the revolutionary spirit company that has created drinks that mimic the world’s favourite spirits
Saturday 18th Jan, 14:15 – 14:45 & 17:15 – 17:45 – Cocktail masterclass with La Maison Wellness
Saturday 18th Jan, 16:15 – 17:00: – Panel discussion with industry experts Robyn From Square Root Soda, Tom from Urban Pubs and Bars, Lyre’s and Anja who writes the Club Soda Drink Reviews, discussing all things no and low

Full festival details, including a list of brands on show and masterclass programme, can be found on the Mindful Drinking Website.

If you are looking for Dry January menu options, and the thought of encountering a wellness guru doesn’t give you palpitations, the Mindful Drinking Festival may be worth a few hours of your time next weekend.
