Hedonist Operators Launch Leeds Gin School and Drinks Lab

Liquor Studio: 156 Briggate, Leeds, LS1 6LY

Dan Crowther

Dan Crowther and Jonathan Lee, owners and operators of Leeds institution Hedonist, have launched a gin school and drinks lab called Liquor Studio. The new space will host flavour exploration workshops and cocktail masterclasses, and provide punters with the chance to distil and bottle their own gin.

While obviously geared towards consumer sessions, especially in the run up to Christmas, the Liquor Studio’s set up and equipment also makes it an ideal space for bartender and brand-led training sessions, and BarLifeUK have added it to our ‘great spots to hold a cocktail competition’ list.

Dan Crowther, who was named Global Gin Ambassador of the Year at the Icons of Gin Awards in 2018. for his work with Ableforth’s, says of the new venture: “Having spent the last 10 years travelling the globe learning and teaching people about the world’s finest spirits I cannot wait to bring everything back to my home city of Leeds. The Liquor Studio will be a truly unique experience for the people of this great city and cannot wait to get the doors open and the imbibers in.”

The Liquor Studio is now open and taking bookings. You can find out more by:
