A few months ago, Bacardi announced the release of new packaging for their iconic rums.
The bottles adopted a slimmer, taller profile designed to improve weight distribution and bartender-friendliness. But perhaps more significant is the return to using the original, Spanish names for the various expressions.
So, Superior, Gold and Black become Carta Blanca, Carta Oro and Carta Negra respectively. The labels (printed on recycled cane fibres, a by-product of rum making) also feature images telling the brief story of the history of the Bacardí family.
To celebrate this new era, Bacardi also created some really beautiful wooden presentation cases that are a dead cert to become collector’s items in future years. And, even better still, we have three of these cases, replete with rum, to give away to BarLifeUK readers.
To be in with a shout, fill in the brief form below and then click submit. Three winners will be pulled at random from the hat (actualy, a giant boston tin we acquired somewhere), and their shiny new presentation cases dispatched post haste.
This competition has now closed for entries, and the winners will be announced shortly – 28 May 2015
Good luck, and submit your entry now.
