World Class Bartender of the Year Global Final: 4th – 8th July, 2021
Diageo has announced that the 2021 World Class global final will be a fully virtual event, featuring bartenders around the globe competing for the Global Bartender of the Year between July 4th and 8th this year.
The 2021 competition is well underway, with finalists already confirmed from the US, Canada, Nigeria and the Czech Republic. BarLifeUK are judging the GB final next week, and we will bring you coverage of that as it happens. By July, all competitors will have competed virtually in their own countries, becoming well prepared for the challenge of the virtual Global Final.
Pedro Mendonça, Global Reserve Director said: “The last 12 months has thrown a lot at the hospitality industry, but we’ve been determined to shine a light on the innovation, creativity and community spirit within the bartending community and crown a winner no matter what… We have been planning for multiple scenarios and wanted to give clarity to everyone taking part by confirming the final format as early as possible. During that planning we’ve been blown away by the possibilities of a virtual event and are really excited about bringing these to life in July.”
