Max and Noel Venning (Three Sheets, Bar Three) have announced a collaboration with Alan Sherwood (previously of Scout and Peg & Patriot) to open a new venue in London’s Crouch End.

Small Mercies opens in September 2018, and much like Three Sheets and Bar Three, the new joint’s main focus will be drinks. In their own words:

The complex, carefully crafted cocktails, using modern techniques, are presented with trademark simplicity. The cocktails will be supported by a 12 bottle wine list, and a rotating beer menu available on draft, bottled and in cans.”

To prevent guests from falling over, a short evening food menu will be available, along with weekend brunches and vegetarian options. Coffee also seems to be a speciality, with on-premises and take-away caffeine supplied by Alchemy, including draft Nitro Cold Drip. Whatever that is.
