UK whiskey lovers rejoice. This August, Jack Daniels are releasing their first double-barrelled and double-mellowed expression of Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey since it was founded 140 years ago.

Jack Daniel’s No 27 Gold Tennessee Whiskey had a successful launch in Global Travel Retail markets over the last 12 months, catering to the growing demand for high-end American whiskey in the UK. The whiskey is matured in brand new charred white oak barrels, before being matured in golden-hued maple barrels. It is twice mellowed through a sugar maple charcoal mellowing process and bottled at 40%. image005

Nidal Ramini, Head of Advocacy, at Brown-Forman said “The arrival of Jack Daniel’s No.27 Gold Tennessee Whiskey in the UK is testament to the increasing popularity of American Whiskey we’re seeing in both the on and off trade at the moment.” “With only 500 cases produced, Jack Daniel’s No.27 Gold really showcases the great skill and craftsmanship of the team at the distillery in Lynchburg, so we’re confident that existing whiskey drinkers and those trying a high-end American whiskey for the first time will be impressed by its quality and rich smooth taste.”

This super premium expression is smooth and refined, reminiscent of the original Jack Daniel’s Old  No.7, with a natural amber hue and a subtle scent of toasted oak and honey, with a taste of warm maple fruits.

Replacing the traditional black label, the No.27 will have a premium gold colour instead, with the bottle packaged within a sleek limited edition box resembling a golden brick. The design of the packaging matches the luxurious finish of the liquid bottled inside. The significance of the number 27 is a further reference to the bestseller, indicating that the new expression is based on the Old No.7 recipe, but double-barrelled and double-mellowed.

Start freeing up space in your booze collection because this is going to be good.
