J. Wray Launch Epsolòn Tequila at Imbibe Live

Sample the award-winning tequila made from 100% Blue Webber Agave on stand A96 

J. Wray & Nephew are adding a duo of premium tequilas to their UK portfolio, with the official launch of Epsolòn Tequila taking place at Imbibe Live on 1st-2nd July on stand A96.

Epsolòn is an award winning tequila made from 100% pure Blue Webber Agave in the highland, Los Altos region of Jalisco. At 40% ABV, the range consists of Blanco and Reposado varieties.

Epsolòn pinas are cut into four pieces rather than two, before being cooked for 18-20 hours. The producers say the increase in surface area that this creates imparts a more delicate flavour to the tequila, offering notes of tropical fruit and lemon zest with hints of pepper and sweet agave.

More than half of the final blend after distillation is ‘heart’, resulting in a smooth, balanced tequila. Epsolòn’s barrels feature a level two char for lighter caramel and vanilla notes.

Under the guidance of Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza, Epsolòn Tequila has won several awards, including Double Gold at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for ‘Best Silver Tequila’, and Gold at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for the Reposado.
