Chartreuse Last Word Leeds Winner and Reading Video

In Competitions

Two winning Chartreuse drinks for the price of one today from the Last Word Twist competition running across the UK.

Most recently in the green spotlight was Leeds with a very strong line-up of bartenders taking part (see all the recipes here).

Following visits from a Mystery Shopper/Drinker the winner has been confirmed as Sam Fish from Mojo with her delectable Marie Antoinette inspired I Beg Your Pardon! cocktail.

Leeds winner Sam Fish in action
  • 20ml Green Chartreuse
  • 20ml Aperol
  • 20ml Kamm and Sons
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 5ml Chase Vodka (to rinse the glass)

Shake all ingredients together and fine strain into a vintage cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon ‘sail’ on the side of the glass.

Apparently the mystery shopper had a tough time choosing between Sam and Alex Pitt from Living Room but Sam just edged it.

We will be bringing you a video of Sam’s cocktail in the coming weeks but first here is the video made by the Reading winner Jonathan Carlton from Cerise.

As time has gone on in this competition the videos accompanying the winning drinks have been getting more and more surreal. This one takes it to a whole new level.

Enjoy.
